About this Event
The annual Life Science Symposium is an opportunity to celebrate and explore the achievements and innovations of students, faculty and alumni in the Life Sciences at La Salle University. The event encompasses both the Biology and the Integrated Science, Business, and Technology (ISBT) academic programs. The schedule of events include:
6:00pm-6:30pm Alumni Panel
6:30pm-7:30pm Poster Session with refreshments
7:30pm-8:00pm Keynote Speaker
The Poster Session will feature research results from the Small Worlds Initiative lab experience that all first-year life science students experienced this semester, as well as independent research performed by upper-level students under the mentorship of La Salle Faculty.
Our keynote speaker is Philadelphia Inquirer Science Reporter Tom Avril, who will give a talk titled "Half the Battle: The Importance of Scienctific Communication."
This event will be a great opportunity to meet classmates, faculty and alumni in various Life Science disciplines on campus and explore the various ways a La Salle education can prepare you for a career in healthcare and biomedicine. Hope to see you there!
