About this Event
Join Sophie Herxheimer (award-winning artist/poet ) and Laura Mitchison (oral historian with On the Record) for an oral story-gathering workshop, loosely inspired by “the therapeutic community.” You’ll work in pairs to listen and create a collaborative artwork about a significant relationship in your own life. We will draw on Sophie’s art practice, and Laura’s research into the Cassel Hospital’s “therapeutic community”; a blend of psychoanalysis and peer support.
It is ideal to attend by yourself. If you want to bring someone along, make sure they madden you or intrigue you (or both).
All materials will be provided in this free beginners’ workshop which emerged from a residency with The Cassel Hospital. Booking essential. Please get in touch with [email protected] if you have any access needs.
