About this Event

LIFE DRAWING @ Touchbase Open 2025

Join us for a fun and interactive life drawing session where you can sketch a live model (Lauren Jade, she/her) in a relaxed and creative atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this event is perfect for all skill levels. We will provide materials but we recomend bringing your own art supplies if there's a specific medium you'd like to use.

We'll also be displaying drawings made by our members.
Touchbase volunteer and local art legend Rob Birch will facilitate the session, offering drawing exercises and advice to get you into the fun of drawing.

Here at Touchbase Care we use the arts as a way to empower our beneficiaries to learn new skills and express their thoughts and creativity. Life Drawing is a great way of building fundamental skills of looking and its a great way to make a space to think about the human form. We all have different bodies, and different relationships to our bodies. In a disability support setting it is important to think and talk about our different embodied experiences.

By coming along you'll be able to experience first hand the kinds of things we offer for the disabled community in Folkestone.
This event is free to attend but there will be an opportunity to donate to our work on the night. Your donation will help us to run more creative events for our members.
