KALEIDOSCOPE: LIFE DRAWING FOR BEGINNERS!
I am so excited to host a beginning drawing workshop for this month's Kaleidoscope! Please note: This would be a great class for an absolute beginner with ZERO experience, but would also be wonderful to attend even if you already have some drawing skill. I personally love going back to the very basics with new teachers to see if I can find new ways to approach drawing. So, whether you have no skill or draw every day, come to this workshop with fresh eyes to learn a new approach!
We will be drawing from life (meaning objects or people in front of us rather than using photo reference). If you have drawing supplies you love, feel free to bring them, but if not, I will have everything you need to draw. I also have some complete drawing kits to give out on an as needed/first come first serve basis. *IF YOU HAVE EXTRA DRAWING SUPPLIES YOU DON'T USE: Please bring them so we can have a table of freebies for people to take home and continue working with their new skills!
This workshop will run from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25 at West Edge Factory. Enter at the door labeled Turret Studio near the train tracks. See you there!
ABOUT THE KALEIDOSCOPE SERIES:
Kaleidoscope is a free monthly creative workshop series for the LGBTQ+ community, held at West Edge Factory and hosted by Sassa Wilkes. These events are made possible in partnership with Huntington Pride. Events are typically held on the last Thursday evening of each month with some exceptions (start and end times vary). The goal of this series is to give those in the LGBTQ+ community a safe and creative space to explore new hobbies, skills, and interests for free with others in their community. Snacks and drinks are always provided. Due to the nature of materials we work with and themes explored, events are typically best suited for ages 16 and up unless stated otherwise.
