Have you ever noticed how everything starts with a drawing…Come and enjoy a couple of hours of drawing our wonderful model from life, in a tutored class.
Robert will talk about materials and techniques, including references to perspective and anatomy for the artist with a focus on heads and hands.
There will be a live model so you can practice your newly acquired skills. Please note, this may not be suitable for children, given the artist will be sans-clothing! (Children's class is here)
We will provide some paper and drawing materials, but please feel free to bring your own medium(s) of choice and an easel if you have one!While tickets are free, there are limited places so please book carefully.
The Geeveston Art Show's Artist Development Programme is proudly sponsored by Bendigo's Community Bank Huon Valley and is run to provide local artists and aspiring artists the chance to explore their passion. Robert Jackson will be leading the workshop.
Robert Jackson is a multi-skilled award-winning artist and musician who has been plying his trade since the 1970s. He has been living the Huon Valley for four years. He studied Art, Music and Linguistics at Latrobe University and the Victorian College of the Arts. He has won several local awards for painting a Mainstreet Australia Award for Public Art. He has a Green Room award for his work with Chambermade Opera and has been a longstanding Cast member with the Australian Shakespeare Company. He performs regularly around the Huon Valley with his Trio Chord on Bleus and in Hobart with the Creek Road Art Orchestra. ***********************
