This course is ideal for people who have done some life drawing before and would like to explore, practise or expand their skills. It’s also a great follow-on from the ‘Beginners and Refreshers’ course.The class will consist of a small group to allow for one-to-one tuition throughout, and we will focus more closely on some of the challenging aspects of life drawing: foreshortening, heads, hands and feet, movement. The sessions will be led by the individual needs of the group, and we will choose together which subjects to cover, so you get what you need as to build your skills and develop confidence.
Along the way we will explore different approaches to drawing itself. We will look at how different artists have portrayed the human figure in their work and discover what we can learn from them.
Basic paper and drawing materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring along and experiment with materials and ideas of your own.
