Ever wanted to try your hand at life drawing? Well now is your chance! Join us at Te Waka Huia o Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho Wellington Museum for an afternoon of tutored life drawing with artist Denise Durkin and celebrate queer bodies through art at a special Pride Edition of Life Drawing.
A model, refreshments and all materials will be provided – courtesy of the generous donation from our friends at Gordon Harris The Art and Graphic Store.
During these classes, you will explore:
✏️Fun drawing exercises like contour drawing and gesture that offer an effective way to start drawing the figure
✏️A focus on real shape, gesture, form and the structure of line figures
✏️New ways to build your drawing skill
This is a two-hour session, taking place from 2pm – 4pm on the first Sunday of each month.
The doors close at 2pm sharp so please ensure you arrive early – we suggest arriving between 1:40pm – 1:55pm. Please note if you arrive after 2pm, you may be unable to enter.
Price
$35 students (with valid ID)
