About this Event
This 3-hour workshop offers ways to process experiences within your body. Through the modalities of breath and mindful yoga movement, Carolina Mello and Leia Layus will support the connection with Self, thoughts, and emotions. By allowing people to explore the unique language of sensation within their body they will discover a more intimate connection with themselves.
To resource the students, Leia will first guide a grounding sequence of SATYA yoga & Restorative Yoga to set the tone of internal steadiness. To awaken and move unprocessed emotions within our body, Carolina will then guide transformative breathwork. To close, Carolina and Leia will support the group’s conscious integration through facilitated journaling and discussion.
- Mind-Body Connection Explained- This portion of the workshop explains the theory behind the mind-body connection and the felt sense. How and why we feel things on a bodily level and how that affects the way we live and experience the world.
- Making it tangible - This section explores how the somatic system can be flushed and the strategies that can be employed. these are the different practices that can be deployed to aid in somatic release and healing.
- The Practice of Movement - This is a demonstration of the techniques where participants experience the practices and learn how to employ them in their daily lives. Experiencing the various aspects of how energy can be moved through the body.
