Stuart Pearce: Gas Band of substance immemorial in an era of temporal content. A band from the Midlands' shires with a healthy distaste for the contemporary hellscape, in which we are left confused and divided by decades of postmodern irony, alienated labour and neoliberal economics.
Shipzy a.k.a. James Timmins is a high-performance performance artist from the post-industrial British Midlands. A former senior change management consultant and semi-professional endurance athlete, he is now bringing his incessant drive and growth mindset to the subterranean world of alternative music. His debut EP on Caravela Records deals with agonising nihilism of the post-truth age, and is heavily influenced by a recent near-death experience whilst e-biking in the Austrian Tyrol, and his subsequent immersion in the avant-garde literature of Timothy “4-Hour” Ferris. Join him on this cathartic journey, or in the immortal words of Martin Heidegger, “Get on your bikes and ride!”.
