I organized and led Black Lives Matter Potsdam NY in June 2020. My son Terron Evans Jr moved to Potsdam in June 2020. On 1/8/21 two police informants claimed that Terron committed suicide in their home in Potsdam by taking over 50 Wellbutrin pills. In the autopsy there were no pills found in his stomach no pill residue in or around his mouth and no signs of vomiting. This woman and her son (who claimed suicide) lied about their whereabouts. There were 5 responding officer's to the scene. 2 Potsdam Police Officers and 3 St Lawrence County Sheriff's. I only received 1 body cam video from the scene. The video was redacted down to 2 minutes 36 seconds. I am still being denied the initial 911 call. The St Lawrence County Sheriff's had an open file in regards to my son's death timed and dated 1/7/21 10:41pm. That's more than 8 hours before Terron's death or the 911 call, despite never having Terron in their custody. Potsdam Police Officer Jerrid Lavoie whose only body cam video I received from the scene, resigned after I called Internal Affairs. The St Lawrence County Chief ADA Jason Marx resigned the same day Terron's life was taken. The lead St Lawrence County Sheriff Thomas Caringi retired after closing Terron's case. The Potsdam Police Chief Mark Murray has retired. We will March throughout Potsdam and Protest at various locations throughout Potsdam NY. Terron Evans Jr was targeted set up and killed. The true cause and manner of Terron's death are being covered up. There are many lives and deaths injustices in Potsdam NY and throughout St Lawrence County. Bring your signs and voices.
