About this Event
This panel composed of booksellers, publishers, writers and illustrators, will discuss current trends in children’s literature as well as present-day concerns with content, form and subject matter. It will be moderated by Society Historian Carol Olten, curator of the “Tigers, Unicorns & Puppy Dog Tales” exhibition currently on view at Wisteria Cottage. This original exhibition features the work of Green Tiger Press, founded as a publisher of childrens’ literature in San Diego and now located in Seattle.
Panelists will include Sandra Darling, co-founder of Green Tiger Press and childrens’ book author and illustrator working under the pen name of Alexandra Day; Benjamin Darling, current head of the company’s book division; Sonia Teder-Moore, Warwicks bookseller specializing in childrens’ literature and former librarian, educator and creator of the literature and arts program “Stories That Soar;” and Katia Graham, founder of Librarian on the Go, and former Youth Services Librarian at La Jolla Library.
