Are You Retired? Over 55? It’s Time to L.A.F.F.! If you’re a retiree, you definitely won’t want to miss our Life After Fifty-Five (L.A.F.F.) events. Retirees of all ages are welcome to come and enjoy a good time of fellowship, laughter and the opportunity to make new friends.
We begin every L.A.F.F. event with some hymn singing, a few jokes, poems or stories, followed by an uplifting and challenging Bible message from a guest speaker.
Our new associate pastor Sam Aragones will be our guest speaker. He’ll bring a message from Luke 10:38-42 entitled, “Sitting at the Feet of Jesus.”
We often think of serving God as “doing” or “working,” but have we neglected the important practice of “being” in the presence of God as worship? We’ll reflect on the story of Jesus in the home of Mary and Martha as an example of delight in God fuelling our worship and service of God.
A hot lunch will follow the program. We look forward to seeing you and don’t forget to invite a friend.
