Library Night - with Ciaron Tobin

'For this library night, we will be reading Hilaire Belloc's 'Lord Lundy' from Cautionary Tales for Children. As a culmination of his Catholic Political Experience: from Oxford Union President to one of the first openly Catholic members of Parliament, we will work to tastefully read his verse together and examine how his understanding of Witness and use of noble expectation made his literature such a powerful work of satire, and a guidebook on public Catholic downfalls in an Enlightenment society. Please join me for an evening of good poetry and hot takes!'
-----
Library Nights will be held on Wednesdays of 2nd-8th weeks. Join us as guests discuss literary works that have inspired them. Mood lighting, people sitting on the couches, drinking a glass of wine (or non-alcoholic option), listening to the guest facilitator as they talk about the book that means so much to them.
Questions will be asked, answers may be given, opinions will be shared. What could be better?
