More Info:
This October, activist art collective INDECLINE is returning to the Bay Area for a series of politically charged special events with City Lights Books, Roxie Theater and Studio Fallout.
Best known among locals for their guerilla installation of a naked Donald Trump statue in 2016, and a viral billboard liberation campaign aimed at Immigration and Customs Enforcement policies, the collective hopes to continue its efforts in celebrating their colorful and sometimes controversial history of activism with the community ahead of what is certain to be another contentious election.
INDECLINE, founded in 2001, is an anonymous activist art collective who has utilized guerilla art installations, experimental theater, performance art and billboard liberation as tools to satirically address the various political issues in America and abroad. In the Bay Area, they are best known for installing a naked Donald Trump statue (“The Emperor Has No Balls”) in the Castro District in 2016.
Praise for INDECLINE:
“In my mind INDECLINE are rebel folk heroes of the highest order not just because I love their mischief and hustle, but because they tackle some of the most important issues facing the nation” – Shepard Fairey
