About this Event
Liberation through Plants and Plates
Come join us at Busboys and Poets - Columbia for a quarterly event ! Therapists attending Liberation Through Plants and Plates can expect a deeply enriching and supportive experience designed specifically for BIPOC professionals. This quarterly gathering offers an opportunity to explore education around the transformative power of plant medicines in a culturally attuned and community-centered space. Participants will engage in meaningful conversations about healing, equity, and the intersection of mental health and ancestral practices, while learning about the historical and modern applications of plant medicines.
The gathering fosters connection through shared stories, collective learning, and dialogue on topics such as systemic oppression, trauma, and liberation within therapeutic practices. Attendees will leave with greater knowledge of plant medicine, tools for culturally responsive care, and the inspiration to integrate these insights into their personal and professional journeys. This is more than an event—it’s a space for reflection, growth, and empowerment within a community that understands the unique experiences and strengths of BIPOC therapists.
There will be a small stipend ($15) to cover each person's meal. Anything over, will be each attendees responsibility. There will be giveaways and small freebies:)
