???? St Pierre du Bois Parish is hosting another fabulous Liberation Day celebration for the Community on Thursday 9th May 2024, with a party for everyone on L’Eree Common and Beach. ????Seating is provided but be sure to bring a picnic blanket if you wish along with beach stuff, your neighbours, your smiley faces, singing voices, kazoos and dancing feet, as we bring the Community together and PARTY like it's 1945! ????
The EVENT IS FREE OF CHARGE courtesy of the very generous primary sponsorship of Rocq Capital for all of the musical entertainment amongst other things and the States of Guernsey's contribution towards the infrastructure costs.
We do however STILL REQUIRE YOUR SUPPORT OF THE BAR (not usually a problem in the West!) to enable all of the other activities to be provided FREE of charge for our Community, so we politely request everyone to note that this is NOT a BYO event, and we thank you for your support in that regard, which enables the funding for these additional extras to be provided.
FOOD AND DRINK:
The VRAICEATERS TAVERN will host the licenced bar, with the ever popular MEAT DRAW!
The TEA TENT is back with light buffet catering, kindly supported by Collenette Jones. *shift volunteers still required*
High quality MOBILE VENDORS will once again be joining us and you can take your pick throughout the day and evening from ATAN, Chefan, Fish & Chips, Mims Pizzas, and new this year will be the Amchi Bus Guernsey Tram serving Bean Jar.
Curries are also available from our lovely neighbours at the Indian Cottage.
POPCORN, CANDYFLOSS and ICE-CREAMS will also be available.
MAIN EVENT & MARQUEE
Timings : Music and a 40's singalong starts at 11am and continues throughout the day, concluding with Underdog taking to the stage as Headliners to end the celebrations.
A break will be taken whilst the Cavalcade passes through from 12.20 onwards.

FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT will take place during the day.
Parents are required to assist in the beach activities for the children please as we are low on Volunteers

Blue badge and accessible parking is available for anyone with impaired mobility who needs close access. Contact [email protected] or 263525 evenings, if you require a parking pass.
An accessible WC will be available in the car park as well as within the Public toilet block at the other end.
