NOTE THE TIME CHANGE: 4/18 7:45p-9:45p!What does sacred feel like? Is it separate from the experience of justice and inclusivity, or is it the same?
How can dance help us face the injustice and pain of our world without feeling overwhelmed or shutting down?
Answering these questions is a collaborative, ongoing exploration and we hope you'll bring yourself to it.
This will be a 5rhythms-inspired practice of co-creating sacred space, in service of individual and collective liberation.
FLOW:
7:45-8:15 Gather and opening circle (Land acknowledgment, collective grounding and intention setting)
8:15 - 9 WE DANCE (playlist celebrating many cultures of music, with songs for building emotional fitness to create social change!)
9-9:15 Closing circle (grounding and offering the goodness to the service of collective liberation)
9:15-9:45ish Connect! Nibble! Conspire on ways to co-create a more just, verdant and peaceful world!
BRING:
- A willingness to explore in community how our bodies can be sites of decolonization and working through overwhelm and shutdown
- An item for our collective altar
- A snack to share afterwards
- Yoga mat, squish items to make the space more cozy.
