Solidarity Forum: “Resistance and Liberation in the 21st Century”
25th April 2024 (Thursday)
7.30 pm - 10.30 pm
A forum, in hybrid form (in-person and online), to bring together speakers who are involved in resistance and liberation struggles around the world to share their thoughts and aspiration for a better world. Will be featuring speakers from Palestine, Rojava, West Papua, etc.
The forum aims to explore the intricate dynamics of oppression and resistance in our modern era, shedding light on the evolving manifestations of power and injustice. In this century, we witness the emergence of new forms of oppression, including neo-colonialism, financial exploitation, racial discrimination, environmental collapse, and gender inequality. These contemporary oppressions are deeply intertwined with historical legacies such as imperialism, colonialism, and apartheid, all stemming from the systemic roots of capitalism and neoliberalism.
