Liverpool Horror Club invite you to join us for a screening of HIGHWAY TO HELL (1992).
This is a gem of late 80s horror, which begins with a young couple, Charlie & Rachel, driving across state as they elope to Vegas. After taking a road less travelled, they encounter the notorious Hellcop. He kidnaps the bride-to-be and returns to Hell. Charlie must find a way to follow them and rescue his fiancée before she becomes a bride of Satan.
Directed by Ate De Jong, this movie is satirical, offbeat, and a little ridiculous. Which is not too surprising when you discover that they also made Drop Dead Fred. The film was completed in 1989 but was shelved for a few years. HIGHWAY TO HELL features some great lines, creative visuals, and a wonderful ominous stalking villain.
Expect a few familiar faces in the cast – Kirsty Swanson (the original Buffy) plays Rachel, Patrick Bergin is the Devil, a cameo from Lita Ford, and Ben Stiller plus 3 other Stiller family members! C.J.Graham, best known as Jason Voorhees in Friday 13th Part 6, plays Sgt.Bedlam aka Hellcop.
We are excited to be kicking off 2026 with this screening. It is a fab film that has flown under the radar of too many people, and it really fits the vibes of the movies we love to show. As always, there will be other fun and prizes on the night too!!

Venue: The Liner Hotel
VENUE
Our venue is The Liner Hotel. The same location as our horror markets, but we shall be situated in the Pacific Lounge which is a lovely screening room with capacity for 50 attendees. The bar we will be selling hot, alcoholic, and soft drinks, plus snacks including popcorn, nachos, and mini pizzas.

ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSIVITY
The venue is fully accessible, via elevator to our screening room on the 1st floor.
There are 2x blue badge spaces at the hotel entrance.
We will provide a free ticket for a carer supporting a person attending the event. Please contact us in advance to reserve this extra space. Or if you have particular requirements, please get in touch so we can best accommodate individual needs.
We offer a small number of free spaces for those who wish to attend but are unable to afford the ticket fee. Get in touch and we will gladly organise this with you.
