We’re wasting no time this year with our second event for 2026 landing at Fortress on Jan 22 from 6–9pm.
Roll in with friends or fly solo. We’ve got friendly admins to help you settle in, if you’d like!

🚨What do I need to bring?
You just need to bring yourself!
Optionally, you can bring friends, consoles, or any specific tabletop games or switch carts you'd like to play.
🎲 What games will be there?
We'll have access to several Nintendo Switches (including Mario Kart, Super Smash, Boomerang Fu, & more), board game library, Jackbox, giant Jenga & Connect 4, and a range of tables to use.
‣ Please bring any games you'd like to play from home! Whether board games (i.e MTG decks) or portable game consoles (i.e. Steam Deck, Switch, Switch Carts, DS, etc).
🍽️ Grab dinner and a drink
Food and drink will be available at the bar. There will be a few specials, so keep an eye on socials. You cannot bring your own food or drink into the venue.

🕔 When should I get there?
It's best to arrive at the start of the event time to grab a table and have the opportunity to join in any long format games.
It's OK if you can't make it until later; we'll recommend some games based on what's running at the time, and what's suitable to jump into.
If you see a game you'd like to join, feel free to.
📍Where is it?
Fortress is central to the Melbourne CBD.
The closest train station is Melbourne Central. There are many trams nearby.

Fortress has three levels. We'll be on Level 2 in The Arena (upstairs from the Tavern/Arcade).
You can enter via the Emporium shopping centre while it's open (until 9pm), and via the after hours laneway once Emporium closes.
‣ Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible via lifts.
‣ Noise: we keep a lo-fi atmosphere suitable for having a conversation during games. After the conclusion of the event, you're welcome to visit the Tavern though it's louder.

We have zero tolerance for anti-social or non-inclusive behaviour. If someone makes you feel uncomfortable or unwelcome, please let an admin know straight away.
