Hey, y'all! I host Thanksgiving for queer and transgender folks who don't having an understanding family to go home to, and this is my first year hosting on the west coast!
My home here isn't big or built for entertaining, but there's always room for friends! Feel free to show up any time after the Macy's Parade. If you have a comfy parade chair you like to sit in, please bring it. The plan is for dinner to be served at around 3ish. After food we will get a bonfire going outside if weather permits, plus board games and football. Come and go as you please, we are super casual and go with the flow in this family.
The menu is subject to change, but the current plan is:
Deep Fried Turkey
Granny Smith & Cranberry Stuffing
Garlic & Rosemary Mashed Potatoes
Green Bean Casserole
Yeast Rolls
Gravy
Pumpkin Pie
To drink we'll have Non-Alcoholic Cranberry Juice & Sprite cocktails and Tang tea.
If you're bringing a dish, please let me know so I can add it to the menu!
I like to know who I am inviting into my home, so if you're seeing this, aren't already my friend, and want to come, send me a message and we can chat and meet up before the holiday.
Heads up: I have a lot of animals, so don't come if you are allergic to (or afraid of) dogs or cats. I also have a spider and snake, but they will stay in their enclosures.
Queer and trans joy is resistance, and I'm excited to host a new set of faces!
