AGE of Central Texas will host their 2nd annual “LGBTQ+ Caregiver Conference” on Saturday, June 3rd. Part of the on-going conference series to help family members effectively care for an older adult, the free event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to Noon at the UpRising Church, located at 8601 South 1st Street in Austin.The morning will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and a Resource & Information Fair. At 9:00 a.m., a panel of local experts will discuss “Navigating Housing Options.” At 10:00 a.m., a panel discussion featuring local health care and senior industry professionals will discuss “Transportation Options in Central Texas.” The conference will conclude at 11:00 a.m. with local LGBTQ+ caregivers in a round-table conversation sharing their wisdom, experiences, and advice.
