LGBTIQA+ Foundations of inclusive practice (face to face) A workshop for professionals and practitioners working in the domestic, family and sexual violence, and the women's community health sector.
About this Event

Foundational knowledge about sex, gender and sexuality is important for culturally-appropriate service provision in the family, domestic and sexual violence sector, with LGBTIQA+ people and communities. This 3-hour workshop provides key information around LGBTIQA+ people and communities, including frameworks for understanding sex, gender and sexuality. It also provides information about inclusive language and practice, experiences of discrimination, and resources and referrals Participants will be able to reflect on their own and their organisations ways of working, to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for LGBTIQA+ people.
