About this Event
Meet new queer friends and bone up on your queer nonfiction at Tea Zaanti!
The LGBTea & Read is a LGBTQIA+ centered book club for 20-30 year olds trying to make new queer friends in the city! The book club meets the last saturday of every month from 6:00 - 7:30pm at Tea Zaanti, 1944 S 1100 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84106.
Books are focused around different social issues that impact marginalized individuals in our community, such as Abolitionism, Environmentalism, Gender Studies, and more. Join Q, our facilitator, once a month at Tea Zaanti for engaging discussion, a cup of tea, and maybe a treat or two! Discounts on food, drinks (alcohol excluded), and monthly reading selections are proudly offered by Under the Umbrella and Tea Zaanti Cafe. Please contact [email protected] with questions or concerns.
Please note that this book club meets at Tea Zaanti, NOT Under the Umbrella. Tea Zaanti serves alcohol and does not require masks.
When possible, please support the store and the authors by purchasing a copy here! Most books should also be available at local libraries and through Libro.fm.
