Gilbert Enoka has a long history or success as a mental skills coach with NZ's corporate and sporting elite. He is internationally renowned for his 20+ year history with the All Blacks, first as their mental skills coach and now as All Blacks Manager - Leadership. He has been with the All Blacks for over 250 tests and during that time the team has won back-to-back Rugby World Cups, one Laureus Award (for the best team in the world), 20 Bledisloe Cups, three Grand Slams, eight Tri-Nations and seven Rugby Championships.
Gilbert has worked as a mental skills coach for the All Blacks, Canterbury Crusaders, the Silver Ferns and the Black Caps and strongly believes that players who are mentally prepared will perform better on the day.
He has also worked as a highly skilled practioner, working on performance enhancement for over twenty years with top CEO's, business and sporting elite.
Gilbert is philosophical in his approach to his own life and thrives on working with people who are in pursuit of excellence, consistency, and sustained performance over time.
Joining Gilbert on stage at the Lexus of North Shore Charity Lunch, will be Ian Jones.
Ian Jones grew up in the Whangarei suburb of Kamo, and has always been known as the 'Kamo Kid'. Ian made his All Blacks debut in 1989 against the Cardiff Club at the Old Arms Park. He played his Super Rugby for the Chiefs and his NPC career for Northland and North Harbour.
Ian played 15 games for the All Blacks, including 79 tests and at the time of his retirement was NZ's most capped lock.
Since rugby retirement Ian has covered many roles in the media and his philanthropic work including starting a community food kitchen with his family, called Eddies Meals, an extreme ocean swim and a length of the North Island triathlon to name a few.
Family, community, and fitness are at the heart of everything he does.
