On January 20 at 2 PM local time, we will walk out of work, school, and commerce because a Free America begins the moment we stop cooperating with fascism.
This is a locally organized, community-led rally, not a fly-by-night protest and not the product of any think tank.
We are individuals from Lexington and the surrounding area who have reached a breaking point with the reckless and harmful actions of the current administration.
We will be peacefully protesting the killing of Renee Nicole Good, and demanding accountability and justice.
We will be peacefully speaking out against U.S. military actions abroad, including the situation in Venezuela.
We will be peacefully resisting ongoing violations of our First Amendment rights, and affirming the fundamental freedoms guaranteed to all people.
The rally will begin at 2:00 PM in front of the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza and will continue into the afternoon and evening.
This is a peaceful demonstration rooted in solidarity, community, and the belief that democracy only survives when people are willing to stand up for it.
