Contemporary folk artist, songwriter and jazz singer Lewis Barfoot returns to the Cork Jazz Festival for a one-off intimate performance at Lavit Gallery. She is joined by special guest Julien Silvand on trumpet, flying in from Paris for this collaboration. This new collaboration is where worlds meet — Lewis, with her “Voice that melts the hearts of angels” (Folk Radio UK) and deep roots in the folk tradition, and Julien, with his extensive background in jazz improvisation and unsurpassable joie de vivre, come together to explore fresh musical terrain with sensitivity, style and a hearty dose of playfulness.
Expect a spellbinding listening experience through beautifully composed original songs, well known jazz standards and folk song in the gorgeous setting of Lavit Gallery — a warm, reflective space to soak up this unique musical meeting.
