Calling all experienced Lindy Hoppers! York Lindy is excited to present a Level 3 workshop on flashy social-dance moves!The workshop will be taught by York Lindy’s very own Ashley and Mel. These two have been hard at work this year practicing flashy, flavourful moves to bring to the social dance floor. The ideas they bring will be quite different to your usual social dance repertoire. Ashley and Mel will start with familiar territory and build up steadily to some more difficult combinations.
The event will take place in the historic city of York on Saturday 20 July. It will comprise 3 hours of teaching followed by an evening social dance. The evening social comes free with your ticket!
If you're not a Level 3 dancer, join us in the evening for the social dance. This dance is open to dancers of all levels.
Difficulty level
To attend this workshop you should be a fluent social dancer, able to switch seamlessly between footworks. The material will assume knowledge of many standard moves including swing outs and tandem charleston.
The evening social dance is open to dancers of all levels!
Tickets
Full-price tickets are £19. Concession tickets are available for students, pensioners, and those on benefit support - concession tickets cost £15. Tickets include 3 hours of teaching and free access to the evening social.
Tickets for just the social dance cost £6/£4 concessions.
You must reserve your ticket online in advance; we are not currently able to admit attendees on the door.
