The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a 1-day nationally recognised qualification designed to give learners the essential skills to manage workplace emergencies confidently and safely.
🩹 Core Course Content
- Role of the First Aider
– Responsibilities, reporting, and infection control. - Assessing an Incident
– Scene safety, casualty assessment, and calling for help. - Unconscious Casualty Management
– Recovery position and airway maintenance. - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
– Adult CPR and safe use of an AED (defibrillator). - Choking
– Recognition and treatment for choking adults. - Wounds and Bleeding
– Control of bleeding, dressings, and shock management. - Minor Injuries
– Cuts, grazes, splinters, and minor burns/scalds. - Seizures
– Managing a casualty having a seizure.
