Delivery Format: Every Friday for 16 weeks.
Programme Overview:
You will complete a Level 3 Certificate in Software Development in just 16 weeks through a mixture of hybrid/online Saturday sessions and On Demand content. This qualification normally takes a year to complete at College, but you can fast-track your career by studying in a blended, flexible approach to fit around your schedule.
You will receive 1:1 support from an experienced Software Engineer throughout your qualification to support you with preparing for your assessments and developing your Portfolio for future employment opportunities.
The Level 3 Certificate in Software Development is recognised by Universities and Employers so you can keep your options open whilst you explore this exciting new career path in tech!

Entry Requirements
Applicants should be confident in using computers and have access to a computer that meets the following specification to take part in this blended learning programme.
- Minimum Processor: Intel i3 or AMD Ryzen 3
- Minimum RAM: 8GB
- Maximum Age: 5 years
No programming experience is required, however, applicants should have a keen interest in programming.
Progression
We expect participants to develop the skills required to progress within their own role (if employed in the Tech sector) or into a new Junior Programme or Junior Software Developer role. Participants who successfully complete this programme will be able to progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Web Application Development.

Funding Eligibility
The Level 3 Certificate in Software Development is funded by Personal Learning Accounts (PLA). To be eligible for PLA you must;
- be aged 19 years and above; and
- Right to Work in UK; and
- Welsh residential address; and
- Be employed or self-employed including Zero Hour or Agency Work; and
- Earn less than the £30,596*;
The following special categories apply in conjunction with the age, Right to Work and Residency criteria:
- Prisoner on day release
- Carer
- Asylum Seekers and Refugees
The above do not need to be employed or self-employed to access PLA.
