Two-Day Forest Skills CourseWe are pleased to offer a comprehensive two-day Forest Skills course designed to provide participants with the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality outdoor educational activities and promote exploration and well-being in a natural setting.
The course includes basic fire safety training, during which participants will be expected to demonstrate evidence of safe practice. A follow-up assessment will require participants to be videoed demonstrating safe fire practices with a group of six children. Additionally, the training will cover the basics of safe woodcraft tool use.
This course aims to equip participants with the skills needed to use outdoor environments effectively to meet curriculum requirements while encouraging an appreciation of the outdoors and its benefits to health and development. On successful completion, participants will receive a recognised certificate from Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire Councils.
