Niagara Junior Roller Derby Charter Team.
We have an exciting opportunity coming up for our skaters and families. The JRD-Eh Canada leadership has been working hard to create the first of its kind Canadian made, Charter option for leagues!!!
The charter will be made up of level 2 and 3 skaters. We will play other Canadian chartered level 2/3 teams! This is a competitive team who will travel to play games. Canada is the first country to do this type of thing and the world is watching and will follow our lead. Niagara Junior Roller Derby coaches and leadership are excited to blaze this trail with our skaters and families.
We will be holding a “Try-out” style work out on Nov 20 at Haig Bowl from 6-7:30. Skaters who have played in at least one game at either level 2 or 3 are welcome to attend. The purpose of this work out is to gauge interest in the travel team, assess potential skaters, and give skaters and family a ‘try-out' experience.

A bit about the team.
Maximum of 25 skaters. At least 5 of each level.
Game rosters will be up to 15 skaters
Attendance and effort at practice will play a role in roster make-up
There is potential for travel throughout Canada
The first JRDA-Canada Championship will be held in July 2026 (location TBD).

Expectations:
This is a brand new way to play roller derby in Canada, there will be bumps along the road and changes. We are confident we can make this successful.
Skaters and families can expect open communication with coaches and leadership.
Coaches can expect patience and respect from parents and skaters.
