MARTIAL ARTS COACHES TRAINING PROGRAMME
This coaches training programme normally costs more than a thousand pound, throughout 2024 we are offering the chance to attend one of our courses to gain up to a Level One Qualification for just £200. This can be paid by instalments if needed before commencing your chosen training package. Your chosen style can be Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Wrestling or a combination of these.
You can join one of our Coaching Programmes for many reasons:
• To learn more about Martial Arts
• For fun
• If you may be interested in coaching
• To add to your Sports Coaching qualifications
• Or to be able to open your own gym
To gain the Level One qualification you need to be a minimum of 18 years old and have:
• The required belt level (Black Belt in Kickboxing or Blue Belt in BJJ (there are no belts in the Wrestling system)).
• Passed the Coaches Examination
• Been assessed by a senior coach within 20 classes.
• Confident at writing Risk Assessments
• A current First Aid Certificate
• A current DBS check
• Be Fully Insured

The above dates are classroom based and run from 10am until 2pm. You will need to attend all 6 days. If you struggle with one of the days, then you can attend the same lesson on one of the following programmes. After you have completed the classroom sessions you will then be assessed teaching 20 classes of your chosen sport (times and dates to be arranged with trainer).
The six days will cover:
• The legalities of coaching
• Lesson planning and structures
• Teaching different age groups
• Health & safety
• Safeguarding
• Ethical and Inclusive coaching
• The questions covered in the Coaches Examination
• Writing Risk Assessments
• First Aid
• DBS and Insurance requirements
• How to run your own gym/venture
When you have enrolled on the course you will be considered a Level Two Assistant Instructor (Minimum age 16 years) until you have met the above criteria. If you are aged between 11 and 15 years you will be considered as a Cadet Leader.
Why is Voodoo Combat investing so much in this training?
Well, Voodoo is looking to expand in 2024 in Kickboxing, BJJ and Wrestling. We'd like to see Voodoo satellite gym's opening up across the region and as far afield as possible.
Although flying the Voodoo flag, each satellite gym is the coach's own business. You will automatically be associated with the Cobra Martial Arts Association (kickboxing and BJJ), Kameron Atakuru (all grappling) and Gordo Jiu Jitsu Europe (BJJ) with Ben Poppleton, and all the support and credibility that entails.
The 'Voodoo Satellites' scheme will offer the use of our name, trademark etc, as well as full support and advice to our coaches in opening Voodoo gyms in different areas. Delivering CPD training for coaches, first aid, and ongoing training in the martial arts. Advice on premises, class structures, standardisation, access to gradings, courses (2 each year at your premises), cross training and competitions. As well as a range of opportunities to increase revenue via merchandising and secondary sales etc. This opportunity is a no brainer if you want your own gym.
