TSR.2 was at the forefront of military aircraft technology, a weapons system designed to deliver conventional and nuclear bombs at supersonic speeds at altitudes as low as 100ft. But only one prototype had flown before the whole project was ruthlessly terminated by the 1965 Labour government. As costs had seemingly spiralled out of control, was it the right decision?
