Start your Saturday morning with creativity! Our Let’s Create series invites artists ages 8-14 to explore a new medium each week. With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice, students will build confidence, develop new skills, and leave with their very own finished artwork.
This week we’re focusing on Sketching and Sketchbooks—the heart of every artist’s creative practice. Students will explore different drawing prompts, practice quick studies, and experiment with mark-making techniques that encourage imagination and observation. Each artist will add new pages to their sketchbook, building a personal collection of ideas and inspirations that can grow over time.
All supplies are included—just bring your creativity! Whether you’re new to art or already love making, this is the perfect way to explore, experiment, and grow as artist
Students will be guided through a creative prompt. Then, artists will have the opportunity to take the skills/lesson and expand on the idea. Each student will interpret the project slightly differently and take the drawing to their own level. Some may choose to keep it simple while others stretch their skills and creativity.
Cancellation Policy for those that are unable to attend:
If you are unable to attend the class, your ticket for that class/event is nonrefundable. We are happy to have you transfer your ticket to a friend or family member to attend the class in your place. Unfortunately, due to payment of instructors, and limited seats, we are not able to offer refunds or a transfer into another class.
Cancellation Policy due to low enrollment of the class or instructor illness:
To run our classes CURIO needs a minimum of 4 sign-ups. If CURIO should have to cancel the class for any reason including limited enrollment registered participants are able to:
1) Move their ticket to another open class or rescheduled class
2) Receive a digital gift card
3) Get a refund. We strive to avoid cancellations but promise a fair process in unforeseen circumstances should CURIO be the one canceling!
