Let’s Be Real: Talking Truths About Sex, Identity, & Growing Up

Come join us for an eye-opening event where we'll dive deep into discussions about sex, identity, and the challenges of growing up. This in-person event will be held at the Ritz Theatre & Museum, Jacksonville. Get ready for an evening filled with candid conversations and valuable insights. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect and learn from others!

Parents & caregivers: this event is for you and your teen—together.To foster the most honest, supportive conversations possible, every youth attendee must be accompanied by at least one parent, guardian, or trusted adult. (One adult may accompany multiple teens from the same family.)

🔥 What Makes Let’s Be Real Different?

Youth-Led, Family-Powered: Local teens design the workshops, facilitate discussions, and sit on the Q&A panel—while adults learn new ways to show up, listen, and talk without judgment.

Parallel Learning Tracks:

Teens (grades 6-8 & 9-12) dive into real-life topics—consent, identity, relationships—guided by trained peer leaders and health educators.

Parents/Caregivers get tools to start (and keep) the hard conversations going, support LGBTQ+ youth, and navigate digital culture.

Bridging Sessions: Guided activities bring adults and teens back together to practice new communication skills in a safe, moderated space.

👥 Who Should Attend?

Teens (Grades 6–12) — accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Parents, caregivers, guardians, or other trusted adults invested in their teen’s wellbeing.
Community observers (limited seats) who support youth health initiatives.

⚠️ Important: Solo registrations for teens or parents will not be accepted. Your ticket confirmation will prompt you to list the teen(s) or adult(s) attending with you so we can pair each family group on arrival.
