Every holiday season, we look for small ways to bring a little more warmth into the world. This year, we are hosting something special at the gallery: Letters from Santa, written by local artist Beth Bailey, with part of the proceeds supporting Burke United Christian Ministries’ Hunger Relief program.Beth is a gifted calligrapher, and her hand-scribed letters capture the wonder of childhood and the magic of believing. Each one is printed on quality paper from her original calligraphy and personalized with a child’s name at the top so that it feels as if Santa wrote it just for them. Families often frame these letters and bring them out every Christmas as cherished keepsakes.
You can meet Beth and order your letter during Small Business Saturday, November 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hamilton Williams Gallery & Studio in downtown Morganton. If you cannot make it that day, the gallery will continue taking orders through December 3 at 5 p.m. All letters will be mailed on December 5, just in time to bring some holiday joy to your mailbox.
Each letter is $15, and part of every sale will go directly toward helping BUCM provide meals for local families during this especially difficult season. It is a simple way to bring a little magic to your home and a little help to your neighbors.
