Remember when you were a kid and making art was a regular activity, like playing on the playground?
Whatever happened to having time to create? Art Hour is the answer. Born out of this time we’re living through; Art Hour allows you to make something of your own while sharing virtual space with others.
July Art Hour is about giving back. We will be writing letters to individuals in senior centers through Love For Our Elders.
Did you know that over 8 million adults ages 50 and older are affected by isolation?
They don't see their families or friends for long periods of time, and COVID has made things even more challenging.
This event is a great opportunity to dive into your creative flow and share kindness with others.
Materials needed:
- Plain paper and a pen
- Anything else you'd like to use
How it works: We’ll begin with a short meditation to get grounded and centered. I’ll then lead a creative project using materials you have around the house or are easy to find. Finally, we’ll conclude with an opportunity to share and reflect on the experience.
Making art is a form of self-care. Art Hour allows you to make something of your own while sharing virtual space with others. Art Hour is designed for those who say “I’m not creative”. This is a safe space to explore your creativity free from judgment and negative self-talk.
