About this Event

Join Abolitionist Mail Project at Brookline Booksmith for a community card-writing event to write letters to incarcerated people in Massachusetts.

Register for the event!
There will be two seatings at this write-in: 6-7PM and 7-8PM. Cards, stamps and writing utensils will be provided.

We also hope to have a phone call with one of AMP's incarcerated members during this write-in! This plan is tentative based on her availability, and if/when we find out more we'll contact everyone who has registered with an update.

Note that there are strict rules about what styles of cards are allowed into prisons, so if you plan to bring your own materials, check in with Project members before you start writing.

RSVP to let us know which time you plan to attend!

Event accessibility
  • This event will take place at street level.
  • Card writing will take place at tables and folding chairs will be provided.

About Abolitionist Mail Project

Abolitionist Mail Project is a pen-pal group that connects people incarcerated in Massachusetts and people on the outside. We believe that all incarceration is wrong. Until everyone is free, we must form genuine friendships between incarcerated and non-incarcerated people. These relationships will help break down walls and build a new world.
