Want to be healthier? Then Let's Walk!!
Come join members of the Tidewater Striders Walking Club here at Kempsville Recreation Center Wednesday's starting February 12th -March 12th from 9-10:30am, rain or shine.
First 15 minutes will be spent warming up - lap and stretching.
Then walk your distance with a goal in mind. Your goal can be distance, speed, company, safety, learning to use walking sticks...any goal! People can group up however they want.
Want to learn how to race walk, or power walk, or how to train for a race? Well they can get you all set up and going in the right direction for that too!
Other topics covered over this 5 week session will be walking groups in the area, info on warming up and cooling down, how to get ready for National Walking Day- April 2nd, 2025, information on upcoming walking races, walking for fun and lots more!

Session fee $5 per person- center membership or day pass is required, or a qualifying insurance membership such as Silver Sneakers.
