About this Event
Important Note

In this registration form, we ask that you register for the English Grand Finale event you wish to participate in. Everyone will be automatically registered for the virtual practice activities, and will receive the information to participate in them. When you are choosing your tickets, make sure you scroll to the bottom for free "add-ons" that may be helpful to you, like receiving YouTube links or setting up an informational meeting with us.

Note that you can only register for one in-person event (no matter the language), and there is a limit to the number of students who can participate in person from a single school. However, you can always register some students for the in-person Grand Finale and register the rest for one of the virtual events.

French Information

If you wish to participate in the Grand Finale Events in French (At Université de Moncton or Virtual), please visit our French Registration Form.

NEW this year!

Do you want to participate in one of the English Grand Finale Events, but you would like to do the Build & Learn practice activities in French? No problem! Use the "Add-ons" when choosing tickets to add that to your registration. You don't have to fill in two forms.

What is the Let’s Talk Science Challenge?

Discover the Let’s Talk Science Challenge - a free Canada-wide program that encourages creativity and engagement in STEM learning inside and outside the classroom. The Let’s Talk Science Challenge supports the development of important skills and positive attitudes toward science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for Grade 6-8 students.

The Let’s Talk Science Challenge provides a unique, stimulating and fun way to experience STEM for participants from across Canada through a combination of enrichment activities and a competitive team-based event.

The Let’s Talk Science Challenge begins in February with ten weeks of preparatory activities that help students build study and research skills as well as practice designing solutions to real-world problems, presenting their work to others and working collaboratively in teams. Students can work in teams or individually to learn from the Study Handbook, test their knowledge in Weekly Quizzes, and try the Design and Build Challenges. The Build & Learn Weekly Activities are designed for you to be facilitators. They can always be adapted to your needs.

The Let's Talk Science Challenge ends with the Grand Finale, a competition that takes place in the spring of each year. It includes an Ultimate Quiz, the Final Engineering Challenge, and the Lorna Collins Spirit Award. This variety of activities allows students to show off their knowledge of STEM theory, hands-on skills, and team spirit. This year we are delighted to announce the return of some in-person locations hosting the Grand Finale event in addition to the virtual events.
