About this Event
Perimenopause and Menopause can be a challenging and confusing time, often not widely recognised by our peers and culture. Many women struggle through this alone, and often are not aware that many of the symptoms they might be experiencing could be due to perimenopause.
Figures show tha around 10% of women will stop working or become unemployed during this time of perimenopause, and many other are suffering alone, experiencing, depression or anxiety, memory issues, brain fog, joint pain - amongst many other symptoms.
We would like to best inform you of how you might choose to support yourself and each other during this time.
Join us to understand the common symptoms, terminology, testing, and options to best support you through your menopause.
We will be discussing the basics of HRT, its benefits, risks and different treatment options, to include a Q and A session. We will include also sexual and vaginal health within this discussion, as well as touching on how to best support yourself at home with dietary/ nutrition and lifestyle advice.
We will also be discussing social stigma and the menopause - to include how best your employers might serve you during this time, and how the menopausal transition can be viewed differently through different cultures.
We hope to open up the discussion to talk about menopause and would really love for you to join us, both as patients but also as advocates - so that we may collectively help more women through this transition.
