About this Event
Sadly price rises and financial stress are on the increase. We are seeing increased reports across the UK that more people are going without basic living essentials, such as food and a warm home. People living with financial stress are at increased risk of mental health problems and lower mental wellbeing. We want to hear from with people who live or work in Nottingham City to understand about their lived experiences of financial stress and the impacts on their mental health. We are also keen to learn about what is and isn’t helping and any ideas about how things can be made better. The information we collect will be shared across partners working in Nottingham City to help improve things.
This is event is for anyone who lives or works in Nottingham City and would like to share their experiences of mental health and financial stress. This could be your own lived experience or that of a family member or someone you care for. We would also like to hear from community leaders or people who who work in organisations that work closely with local people such as people who work in voluntary organisations, mental health or care services.
The venue is New Art Exchange 39-41 Gregory Blvd, Nottingham NG7 6BE. Light refreshments will be provided.
This event is organised by the Nottingham Collaborative for better Mental Health which is part of the Nottingham City Place Based Partnership. The Place Based Partnership brings together all the organisations that can influence health and wellbeing in the city to support the needs of the people who live here. At the event we will have more information about the Mental Health Collaborative and how to join it. We are also holding two further Let’s Talk Events on:
