Grief isn’t just about death, it shows up anytime we experience loss or change. It can be the end of a relationship, moving away from a familiar place, losing a job, or even the slow shifts that come with illness. Often, we don’t recognize grief for what it is, but it still impacts us. Sleepless nights, irritability, or that heavy feeling in the background of daily life can all be signs that unacknowledged grief is shaping our experience. Most of us were never taught how to work with grief. It isn’t something families talk about, and it’s certainly not in school curriculums. But grief is universal, sooner or later, every one of us will face it. When we don’t address it, it can linger quietly in our bodies, our relationships, and our choices, keeping us from fully living.
This is why conversations and education about grief matter. They give us permission to acknowledge what we’ve been carrying, and they provide real tools for healing. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting, and it doesn’t mean “moving on.” It means finding a sense of completion so we can live more freely, without the weight of unfinished grief holding us back.
What You’ll Gain
A clearer understanding of how grief shows up in everyday life (often in ways you don’t expect).
Insight into the many different forms of loss, not just death, that deserve attention.
Practical strategies for beginning your healing journey, focused on completion rather than the elusive idea of “closure.”
A supportive space to talk openly about something so often avoided.
This session will give you a strong foundation, very much like the first week of The Grief Recovery Method Support Group.
If what you hear resonates, you’ll have the chance to join the 7-week program starting September 9, 2025 (Tuesdays, 7:30–9:30pm) a deeper journey designed to help you truly understand grief and move toward healing.
This is your invitation to pause, explore, and give yourself the care you deserve. You don’t have to navigate grief alone.
