ROUTE: Week 3, Nov 7 https://www.strava.com/clubs/1146107/group_events/1779495“Women empowering and inspiring one another in uncovering strength, embarking on two-wheeled adventures through organized cycling events!” Phat Tire Bike Shop is stoked to be collaborating with Femmes Gravel to host several epic gravel rides this fall. The goal is to create more opportunities for women to experience rolling out on gravel in a fun, safe, welcoming atmosphere. Let’s grind some gravel together this fall!
We have four rides scheduled and you are invited to all of them! The rides are on Thursday evenings (Oct 3rd , Oct 17th, Nov 7th, Nov 21st) starting at 5:45 PM. The distance will be 20-miles, and we will ride at a comfortable pace of 10-12 mph. The rides have different starting points, and all rides are no drop.
The Nov 7th ride will start at the Bentonville Community Center at 1101 SW Citizens Circle, Bentonville AR 72712. Please arrive 10 minutes early for the rider meeting to review rider information, routes & what to expect, etiquette, and safety.
These are not beginner gravel rides. Riders should be comfortable maintaining the pace, riding gravel, and cycling at dusk and in the dark.
Please take note of the rider requirements:
• Downloaded route
• Flat tire repair kit
• Helmet required.
• Well-maintained gravel bike
• Front & Rear Bike lights (front 900+ lumens recommended)
• Snacks & hydration
• Emergency contact
