About this Event
Let's Plant Floating Eco-Systems - Southall Wellbeing Way
Session one = 10am - 12pm Wednesday 6 December 2023

Sesson two = 12.30pm- 2.30pm Wednesday 6 December 2023

(please only book on one session)

Be part of the volunteering and biodiversity programme along the Grand Union Canal. We will be planting reed beds which will then be installed along the canal wall near Norwood Road Bridge. This activity does not involve going on the water. All equipment and gloves will be provided, together with friendly support. All under 16's need to be accompanied by an adult. This is a great way to meet other volunteers and spend some time outside improving your local community and waterways.
No previous experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g waterproof jacket, warm layers in winter) and sturdy closed toe footwear. Please register to let us know that you plan on coming along. Hot drinks and plenty of biscuits will be provided.
Please book your free place as this is not a drop in event.
