Hank Gevedon leads this single day workshop at our Makerspace, teaching folk how to make their own drawknife and froe, two traditional woodworking tools. Get some hands on with both metal fabrication, woodworking and blade sharpening, and leave with (hopefully) your own finished tools.Hank Gevedon is an experienced craftsman and teacher in Eastern Kentucky, having previously led several classes at at Berea's Festival of Learnshops. Minimum age: 16 (adult must be present for minors). Feel free to reach out to Warren to see if your kid will be a good fit.
This is a pay what you can event, with limited seats - there WILL be waitlists. With the horse included, this would normally be a $100+ workshop, but we encourage you to give what you are able to (even if that's $0). Our grant with Berea College allows us to do what we can to make these events as accessible as possible.
