About this Event

Fall is the perfect time to make Fire Cider, a warming, invigorating, and tasty health tonic. It’s fun and easy to prepare once you know how. At the end of class you’ll take home your own custom Fire Cider blend.

In this hands-on workshop you’ll learn:

• Herbs commonly used to make Fire Cider, such as Garlic and Ginger, as well as their properties and actions

• What are oxymels and elixirs?

• A brief history of Fire Cider.

• And of course, how to prepare your very own!

Based on old folk remedies, Fire Cider was popularized in the US by well-known herbalist Rosemary Gladstar in the late 1970s. It has since become one of the most beloved home remedies of herbalists and for good reason. With honey and apple cider vinegar as the base, this spicy and delicious oxymel is intended to support healthy digestion, strengthen the immune system, and aid circulation. Come learn how to make this sweet and fiery tonic on the farm!

This workshop is intended for Adults, age 18+.
