Join Artist in Residence Tricia Enns for a workshop about field recordings, audio software, storytelling and more!
In this workshop you will learn:
- How to do field recordings and basic foley
- How to record an intro and outro that takes into consideration the vibe, if it’s serialed, credits, etc.
- practice and hone your storytelling skills, specifically about the streets of montreal
- How to use audio editing software, in this case the free tool Audacity, and do basics audio file edits
Tricia Enns: A designer, educator and artist. Tricia has a Masters degree in Design + Computational Arts (Concordia University; 2023) and an Undergraduate degree in Applied Science, Systems Design Engineering (University of Waterloo; 2010). Tricia has a past life as an engineer now informs their systems approach to exploring and understanding public space. Her practice is grounded in relational and material approaches and uses a variety of low and high tech methods to come together with others to play, share stories, and create.
