When: Wednesday, February 4th, 5:30-7:30pmWhat's A Zine?
A zine is a paper-craft, self published mini-magazine that became a big part of youth counter-culture and music scenes in the 1990s. Learn more about the power of this unique form of art and self-expression and how you can make your own in this crash course.
Led by local zinester Heather Kennedy. Heather has been creating zines and doing community outreach through the Bend Zine Library for over a decade. Motivated by the democratizing power of self-publishing, she uses her personal stories to inspire others to put vulnerability to page.
With the guidance of Heather's experience, paired with inspiring prompts and projects, our class will culminate in a collective zine on a topic of our selection.
